Marisa is a third-generation REALTOR® and has been around real estate her entire life.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Journalism from Marist College in 2013 and then worked for the Federal Government. She took pride in delivering exceptional customer service. Marisa later decided to carry over that service passion into obtaining her real estate license and then her broker’s license in 2019.
Within the last few years, Marisa married her husband, gave birth to her son, and to her daughter, transitioned into a full-time real estate career (while flipping houses) and launched her own brokerage.
She was determined to follow her passion and found her own brokerage as a business owner in Colonie, NY. In July of 2020, she became Broker/Owner of The Moffatt Group and built a successful brand & company comprising of 10 agents.
In July of 2025, she became Broker, Owner/Partner of Empire Real Estate Firm. This real estate brokerage comprises of The Moffatt Group with Marisa Moffatt, Empire Real Estate Team with Sean Daley and Giovanni Lisi, and The Morgan Jacobson Team with Marshall Morgan and Dawn Jacobson. They combined forces as one brokerage to supply the best tools, resources and service to our clients, agents, vendors and the real estate industry. Three Teams, One Empire!
Marisa’s business approach pulls from both her and her husband’s areas of expertise. They center on relationship building and creating a solid brand that people can trust, and their clients appreciate and recognize this. They are an amazing husband and wife team and love working together.
Marisa specializes in properties in all different price ranges and locations in residential and commercial real estate to rentals, leasing and new construction. She represents first-time home buyers and sellers to seasoned home buyers and sellers, as well as investors. She provides quality customer service to all of her clients and trains her agents to do the same.
Marisa’s rapid growth as a new leader is grounded in a rich family history within the industry and built on her unparalleled customer service skills and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship.
